Dr. Kunal Saigal is a board-certified, fellowship-trained radiation oncologist who serves as Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, an appointment he assumed in December 2022. He completed a dual BS/MD honors program at the University of Miami, a year-long clinical research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health during medical school, and graduated with research distinction before serving as Chief Resident during his radiation oncology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital; he then completed a dedicated brachytherapy fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. His subspecialty expertise centers on brachytherapy for cancers of the breast, head and neck, prostate, and gynecologic system, and his Healthgrades profile reflects extensive experience with breast, pancreatic, and pulmonary neoplasms.
