Don’t take our word for it — confirm Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute’s credentials and dig into the specialty yourself.
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) operates its Lakewood Ranch Cancer Center at 6310 Health Park Way, a $16 million facility opened in late 2019 that brings comprehensive oncology care to the Sarasota-Manatee region. The center integrates radiation oncology with medical oncology and hematology, featuring nearly 40 chemotherapy chairs, ten exam rooms, and on-site access to one of the largest clinical-trial portfolios of any private oncology practice in Florida. FCS radiation oncologists work in multidisciplinary teams alongside medical oncologists, surgeons, and pathologists to deliver advanced external-beam and image-guided radiation therapy tailored to each cancer type. As part of a statewide network of more than 250 physicians across roughly 100 locations, the practice treats the full spectrum of solid tumors and blood cancers, including breast, prostate, lung, GI, and hematologic malignancies, with personalized and targeted therapies. The center also houses the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, which provides non-medical financial assistance to eligible patients. This is a large institutional cancer center rather than a single-physician practice.
