Don’t take our word for it — confirm Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute’s credentials and dig into the specialty yourself.
The Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute is the comprehensive cancer program of the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, delivering multidisciplinary care across the full continuum from prevention, screening, and diagnosis through advanced treatment, clinical trials, and survivorship support. Rather than a single physician, it is an institute-level program staffed by medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists who treat a broad range of cancers including gastrointestinal, breast, lung, gynecologic, and urologic/genitourinary malignancies. Its facilities include an eight-story oncology inpatient and surgical tower that opened on the Sarasota campus in 2021, a Radiation Oncology Center on the University Parkway outpatient campus, and a Cancer Pavilion expanding outpatient services. The radiation oncology program is designated a Gold Standard center by the American College of Radiology, and the institute has been named a Center of Excellence for lung cancer detection and care. Services span infusion, imaging and diagnostics, physician clinics, brachytherapy, and advanced radiotherapy within a large public health system.
