Dr. Amir Harandi is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute's Lakewood Ranch Cancer Center, where he has practiced since joining FCS in 2017. He completed internal medicine training at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital of Columbia University in New York City, with extensive rotations at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, then joined Columbia's faculty as an assistant professor before completing a hematology/medical oncology fellowship at the University of Louisville, where he subsequently spent six years treating cancer patients and serving on faculty. He treats the full spectrum of cancers and blood disorders, with particular documented experience in gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and renal (kidney) malignancies. He sees patients in both English and Spanish and serves as a member of the practice's Core Ventures. He is affiliated with Manatee Memorial Hospital and practices within the large multi-site Florida Cancer Specialists community oncology network.
