Dr. Beverly J. Long, MD is a gynecologic oncologist with Sarasota Memorial's First Physicians Group who cares for women with gynecologic malignancies and complex pelvic surgical needs. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine in 2015, completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of California, Irvine, and finished a gynecologic oncology fellowship at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester. Before joining FPG she served as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of Resident Robotic Training at the George Washington University School of Medicine, reflecting particular strength in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. Her clinical focus spans ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancers, with an emphasis on surgical management within the multidisciplinary Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute.
