Dr. Kenneth L. Meredith, MD, FACS serves as Chief of Surgical Oncology at the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute and Medical Director for Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, practicing through First Physicians Group. He was recruited by Sarasota Memorial in 2014 to expand its robotic surgery capabilities and build a dedicated program for gastrointestinal malignancies, and he is recognized as one of the highest-volume robotic surgeons in the country for esophageal and pancreatic cancer. His surgical practice centers on complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers, including esophageal, pancreatic, gastric, colorectal, liver, and small-bowel tumors, with a strong emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic techniques. He is also an active clinical researcher, having co-authored dozens of peer-reviewed publications and participated in clinical trials advancing GI cancer surgery.
