About Dr. Jonathan Adler

Dr. Jonathan A. Adler, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the founder of Adler Eye Institute in Bradenton, FL, and is among the longest-established LASIK surgeons in Southwest Florida, having practiced in Manatee and Sarasota counties since 1991. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine (1987), completed a transitional internship at the Medical College of Georgia, and finished his ophthalmology residency at MedStar Georgetown University. He is credited as the first physician to successfully perform LASIK in Manatee County and was an early adopter of next-generation multifocal lens implants for cataract surgery, reflecting a long track record in both refractive and lens-based vision correction. Beyond LASIK, he treats cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, providing comprehensive surgical and non-surgical eye care through his independent practice. Adler Eye Institute is a single-location, surgeon-led practice at 1509 53rd Ave W, Bradenton, and Dr. Adler is affiliated with HCA Florida Blake Hospital, speaking both English and Spanish.
