Dr. Alissa M. Shulman is a board-certified plastic surgeon who founded her solo practice, Sovereign Plastic Surgery, in Sarasota in 2009. She earned dual degrees in anatomy and fine arts (sculpture) with honors from SUNY at Buffalo, attended the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, completed general surgery internship and residency at the University of Texas School of Medicine at Houston, and trained further in a microsurgery research/teaching fellowship and a clinical burn surgery fellowship there.
