Dr. Javier Guzman is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic foot and ankle reconstructive surgeon practicing with Suncoast Orthopaedic across Venice, Englewood, and Sarasota, FL. He earned his medical degree with distinction in research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai, and then trained at the prestigious Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. His practice is devoted to the foot and ankle, treating ankle arthritis, fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, flat feet, and complex foot deformities, along with sports-related conditions such as Achilles tendon ruptures, ankle sprains, and stress fractures. He offers advanced procedures including total ankle (ankle joint) replacement and minimally invasive bunion (hallux valgus) correction. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on foot, ankle, and other orthopedic conditions and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
