The Center for Endoscopy is an independent, physician-owned ambulatory surgery center in Sarasota, founded in 2002 to provide a safe and affordable outpatient alternative to hospitalization for endoscopic and GI procedures, with most patients admitted and discharged within two to three hours. It is staffed by a team of board-certified gastroenterologists, including Dr. Charles J. Loewe, Dr. Tonantzin Matheus, and Dr. Ronald Andari, supported by experienced nursing staff. Core services include diagnostic and screening colonoscopy, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, and the evaluation and treatment of conditions such as acid reflux/GERD, stomach pain, and ulcers. The center is accredited by the AAAHC and holds an Endoscopy Unit of Recognition designation from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), a quality marker for endoscopy facilities.
