Dr. Joaquin O. De Rojas is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cataract, refractive, and corneal surgeon at Center For Sight, where he serves as Director of Refractive Surgery and as Medical Director for the state of Florida for US Eye. His training pedigree is unusually strong: a Boston College honors graduate, he earned his MD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, completed his surgical internship and ophthalmology residency at Columbia University Medical Center (where he was Chief Surgical Resident), and finished a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. He focuses on advanced cataract and lens-replacement surgery, LASIK and laser vision correction, and corneal/ocular surface disease, and has also been appointed Director of Cornea and Ocular Surface Disease.
